PBS Foundation

WEBSITE DESIGN

The PBS Foundation is both a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a 509(a)(3) supporting organization to PBS. Its purpose is to seek, cultivate, and receive philanthropic gifts and grants at the national level for PBS. As part of our website refresh efforts we worked very closely with key stakeholders in order to also hone in on all key technical/visual considerations impacting our supplementary logo refresh efforts.
For 47 years, PBS has provided Americans everywhere with free access to programs that educate, inform and entertain – the finest children’s programs, the most respected news coverage, compelling drama, the liveliest arts, and unique nature and science programs. The centerpiece of our website refresh showcased these key areas of focus by seamlessly integrating a series of professionally produced videos, one of which featured PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger sharing thoughts on what the PBS Foundation means to the future of public broadcasting.
Iconography served as a simple solution to help break copy up that showcased the various kinds of common gifts/contributions accepted. The Foundation seeks out major gifts and grants to support high-priority activities of PBS and to increase its endowment, and will accept unsolicited gifts of any size. The Foundation accepts cash, securities, bequests, and most kinds of property, but cannot accept donations of vehicles, boats, or timeshares.
